Human Capital XL: Work on the future of health

The life sciences & health sector is full of opportunity, for both employers eager to meet fresh talent and for individuals exploring their next steps. During this event, we’re bringing everyone together.

Whether you’re an employer at Leiden Bio Science Park looking to connect with future colleagues, a job seeker from a non-scientific background eager to enter the sector, or a PhD student exploring your next move—this event is for you. Human Capital XL offers a welcoming space to meet, learn, and grow.

This year Human Capital XL is a co-production with the Center for Innovative Craftsmanschip (CIV) Bio Sciences. CIV Bio Sciences’ Annual Event is fully dedicated to the Human Capital Agenda of the Leiden Bio Science Park.

An update on the Human Capital Agenda of the Leiden Bio Science Park by Thijs Remijn (Leiden Bio Science Park) and Sandra Migchielsen (CIV Bio Sciences).

Keynote lecture by Labour market expert Zeb Bergsma, Wise up The talent shortages in the biosciences sector are pressing, and the number of students simply isn’t enough to meet the growing demand. To secure the future of our sector, we need to think beyond conventional pathways. How are you dealing with this challenge (effectively)?

Solutions like talent attraction, training and retention projects are often realized through collaborations between public and private partners. A complex process. Guided by labour market expert Zeb Bergsma, we will gain deeper insight into the different perspectives and the underlying labour market dynamics. This way we will be better equipped to understand the

complexities of Human Capital – and strengthen our organization’s position in shaping sustainable solutions for the future of our sector.

Organizations

Considering their concerted contributions to the execution of the Human Capital Agenda, Leiden Bio Science Park, UWV/ Werkgeversservicepunt and CIV Bio Sciences combine forces in this year’s event.
